Peter Small

A little tribute to Peter Small. We visited his home and workshops a few weeks ago.

Just the other day I learned that he had been killed in a motorcycle crash up in Canada.

Peter was an artist, custom jewelry maker, motorcycle racer and collector, and good friend of David McIntosh.

Here he is showing David some of his collection of bikes, trophys, and magazine writeups.

He had raced the Isle of Man TT a few times. Pretty incredible.

Here is the house that he built over many years. Fabulous place. Way out in the sticks near Bonner's Ferry, Idaho.

A man who definitely marched to a different drum. He died the way he lived.

The Fall Jolly!

We set up a little photo booth at the Jolly and really had a fine time!

Here is the test she did of me......grumpy old geezer! Later we went to the Nuart Block Party downtown and met up with her neurosurgeon......he contributes and participates. Great fun!

This clock has been taking on more significance in our town as time goes by. It represents so much!

Here is Friendship Square, the center of it all. You probably recall this view after staggering out of the Garden Lounge!

I called this one "David's" because this building was the home of David's Department Store when I first came to school here in 1965! I remember buying shirts there. Of course, it's a nightclub now.

A Lesson for Us All!

And the Lesson is: Make lots of photos of the people and things you care about! And then.....preserve them!

From the past.......

I've been going through my old image archives searching for raw material and I came across these gems.

Best friends.......Emily, the dancer, is pregnant now....with twins!

From way back.........our son Michael with his play friends. They were called "The Poker Club". Not sure why. Bug looks just like his niece, Violet.
